If you’re looking for a lake with plenty of quality fish, grab your gear and head to Lake Winnibigoshish. This lake offers plenty of structures, which makes for some excellent fishing opportunities. This 67,000-acre lake located in the north-central portion of Minnesota offers fishermen the chance to catch plenty of big pike, muskellunge, and walleye. You can also catch sunfish, perch, crappie, and bass here. And all the fish can be taken year-round – even in the winter months, during which the lake offers excellent ice fishing. You can access much of the lake’s shoreline from the bank, or fish by boat using one of several boat launches. Although you can bring a kayak, canoe or car-top boat, this lake lends itself better to pontoons, bass boats, fishing boats and pleasure boats. Lake Winnibigoshish is also great for family excursions because it offers several RV parks, cabins, campgrounds, and other lodging options.
