Bowstring Lake Fishing

If you’re looking for excellent walleye fishing, plan an outing to Bowstring Lake. This 9,500-acre lake is home to a sport fishery that includes plenty of walleye, northern pike, yellow perch, and black crappie. You can access the lake through one of several boat ramps, the best of which are located on the northeast corner and south end. The many weed beds and rock piles throughout the lake attract fish during the summer, making them great fishing spots. Thanks to the darker water in Bowstring Lake, the walleye here stay active throughout the entire day – even during times when its sunny and bright. For the best chances of catching a walleye, stick to the west and eat shorelines
