Hamlin Lake Fishing

You’ll find a nice fishing spot called Hamlin Lake in the northwest area of Michigan’s lower peninsula. More than 30 miles outline the 12-mile long, 5,000-acre lake where anglers can enjoy boat and shore fishing. The fish species that inhabit the lake include walleye, perch, bass, crappie, muskie, pike, sunfish, and catfish. You’ll find shore fishing and canoe/kayak portaging access points at various parks, campgrounds, and off-road trails located around the lake. Hamlin Lake also has several public boat ramps that provide access to the water. And if you don’t own a boat, you can rent one for recreational boating or fishing. Inclusive fish guides are also available for avid anglers. In the winter, once the ice is safe, you don’t want to miss out on the great ice fishing. With plenty of water activities and camping opportunities, Hamlin Lake is a fun location for anglers and their families to visit.
