Grand River Fishing

Grand River offers anglers the chance to catch a large variety of fish. Anglers often come here to enjoy leisurely drift fishing for smallmouth bass and northern pike in the remote parts of Ada and Lowell. For more action-packed fishing, try fishing the rapids in the city (Grand Rapids) or chasing steelhead by jet boat. In addition to smallmouth bass, northern pike, and steelhead, the river is home to salmon, lake trout, coho, skamania, catfish, and walleye. Anglers consider this river to be one of Michigan’s best fishing locations for steelhead, smallmouth bass, and northern pike. In the bayous off the river, you’ll find bluegill, crappie, perch, and sunfish, which you can also pursue in the winter while ice fishing.
