Quabbin Reservoir Fishing

Located in western-central Massachusetts is a whopping 25,000-acre fishing lake called Quabbin Reservoir (at New Salem.) Anglers come here to enjoy fishing for Bass, Trout, Crappie, Sunfish, Perch, Salmon, and Pike. Shore fishing along the 180 miles of shore is limited to designated areas between Gates 8-16A and 22-44. All boats must have a DCR Quabbin boat seal. Restriction info on motorboat horsepower, etc. is available at the reservoir. Rentals for canoes, kayaks, and other watercraft are available at the lake. Boat ramps are located at Gates 8, 31, and 43. The nearest campground (High View) is only a few miles out from the lake. There are plenty of fishing opportunities here at Quabbin Reservoir.
