Those who enjoy shoreline fishing will appreciate the 140 acres offered by Broadford Lake. Home to many species of warmwater fish, the lake is most often frequented for its plentiful supply of largemouth bass. You can also find smallmouth bass by the dam and in the rocky areas. If you’re looking for panfish, you’ll have plenty of options, including pumpkinseed, bluegill, black crappie, yellow perch, brown bullheads, and yellow bullheads. Looking for something different? Try fly fishing here with a small popper to land yourself some sunfish. In addition to the natural species, Broadford Lake is stocked annually with around 2,000 rainbow trout. And if you’re looking to catch a once-in-a-lifetime fish, you may just get lucky and hook one of the many large tiger muskies stocked here each year.
