Lake Barkley is one of the most visited fishing spots in the southeast for crappie and bass. The 58,000-acre lake includes more than 1,000 miles of shoreline. Most of the lake sits in Kentucky, while a small portion in the north sits in Tennessee. Lake Barley features multiple marinas where you can rent a boat. Anglers can rest and relax at one of the campgrounds, an RV park, or in one of several other lodging areas scattered around the lake. Other plentiful fish species you can find at Lake Barkley include catfish, white bass, stripers, sunfish, paddlefish, walleye, and sauger.
