Clear Lake is a favorite place to fish in north-central Iowa. It covers 3,700 acres and offers easy access to more than twenty-five miles of shore. The lake has a plentiful supply of bass, catfish, crappie, walleye, sunfish, perch, muskie, and northern pike. Most of these species are available year-round. In the winter, you can enjoy ice fishing once ice is safe. Try your hand at catching yellow bass, perch, or sunfish. The town of Clear Lake encircles a good portion of the lake.
