Cedar River Fishing

One of Iowa’s premier fishing spots is Cedar River, where you’ll find some outstanding game fish. There’s an abundance of smallmouth bass and walleye along the rocks and below the dams. You can find plentiful populations of walleye between Gilbertville and Waverly. The catfish can be found almost anywhere along the river where there are piles of brush and deep pools. You can wade or shore fish; however, when wading, watch out for sudden drop-offs. Cedar River has a lot of great fishing opportunities.
