Lake Monroe Fishing

Monroe Lake is the largest lake in Indiana, with 3,100 acres of water surface for fishing. Several fish species thrive in the lake, such as crappie, giant bass, and large catfish. Although the lake was referred to as the “Dead Sea” a while back because of a limited supply of fish, it has recently made a comeback with promising fishing opportunities. Lake Monroe offers several amenities, including boat ramps, marinas, campgrounds, recreation areas, lodging, and dining places.
