Lake Freeman Fishing

Just off of the Tippecanoe River is Lake Freeman, which offers some fine fishing opportunities. The lake was formed by the Oakdale Dam. The water quality has improved over the years, and several years of prolific fish stocking make the lake a popular spot to fish now. Anglers can catch largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, striped bass, white bass, walleye, catfish, crappie, and bluegill. A huge muskie was reportedly caught here. The lake also features ice fishing in the winter once the ice is safe, which often yields some great catches.
