Cedar Lake Fishing

Located in northwest Indiana is Cedar Lake, which features shoreline and boat fishing opportunities for anglers of all skill levels. You’ll find various species here, including panfish (crappie and bluegill), perch, catfish, smallmouth and largemouth bass, and walleye. The Department of Natural Resources stocks the lake with a hybrid striped bass (walleyes), which reach weights that go into the double digits. Walleye stocking is done yearly. The public can shore fish along the lake near the Cedar Lake Chamber of Commerce Welcome Center. Cedar Lake is a fine spot to enjoy a leisurely day of fishing alone or with the family.
