Nawiliwili Harbor is home base for most of the fishing charters in Kauai. These charters operate nearly every day of the week and are so busy that you’ll need to reserve one well in advance. Nawiliwili Harbor is surrounded by deep water, which brings several saltwater gaming species close to its shores, including mahi-mahi, yellowfin tuna, and wahoo. The underwater landscape is an ideal environment for attracting several different species of fish. The harbor’s perfect conditions attract both fish and anglers. A quarter mile from shore, the land drops 1,000 feet – and another 3,000 feet a mile out. These depths attract some of the biggest fish, such as sailfish, bass, catch trout, trevally, some tunas, spearfish, and many more.
