Leave an eighth of an inch of tag end on the Trilene knot for extra security.

Step 1: Thread the end of the line through the eye of the hook.

Step 2: Thread the end of the line through the eye of the hook a second time creating a loop.

Step 3: Wrap the tag end around the standing part of the line 5 to 6 times.

Step 4: Feed the tag end of the line back through both loops.

Step 5: Lubricate the knot and pull to tighten.
