Step 1: Lay the leader and tippet alongside one another overlapping about five inches. Holding the two lines together, double them back over themselves to create a loop.

Step 2: Wrap both ends down and behind the double lines.

Step 3: Pass the tag end of the leader line and the entire tippet line through the newly created loop two times.

Step 4: Lubricate the knot and pull the lines in opposite directions to tighten the knot.
