The Fish and Fool is a Uni Knot that takes two turns of the line through the hook eye, creating a doubled line that is stronger than the Uni and better able to hold a braided line. Learn how to tie the Fish N Fool Knot using the following the 6 steps.
Step 1: Pass the end of the line through the eye of the hook two times, leaving a tag end of about 5-6 inches.
Step 2: Double back with the tag end of the line to form a loop that hangs below the standing line.
Step 3: Hold the loop open with your finger. Wrap the tag end over and around the double line and back through the loop 5 or 6 times.
Step 4: Release the loop with your finger and moisten the lines.
Step 5: Pull the tag end to tighten the coil around the standing line.
Step 6: Slide the knot down to the eye of the hook.
